Women's Tennis to Play Host to CSUN Saturday

SDSU is set to play host to Cal State Northridge on Saturday at 9 a.m. PT.

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State women's tennis team will play its final regular-season home match this Saturday when they play host to Cal State Northridge at Aztec Tennis Center. The match is set for 9 a.m. PT.

The contest vs. CSUN will represent the final regular-season home appearance for SDSU's three seniors - Emma Cioffi, Roxanne Ellison and Sierra Ellison.

The Aztecs will be looking for their second straight win after defeating San Francisco, 6-1, Monday afternoon. SDSU received an impressive doubles performance as its tandems notched three convincing victories with scores of 8-0, 8-0 and 8-2. In singles, Roxanne Ellison clinched the winning decision at No. 6, beating USF's Alana McMahon, 7-5, 6-2.

Saturday's contest will be the fourth all-time meeting between the Aztecs (10-12, 5-2 MW) and the Matadors (10-8, 3-5 Big West), with SDSU owning a 2-1 series lead. Cal State Northridge is coming off a 5-2 victory over Loyola Marymount on Tuesday afternoon.

San Diego State will return to action Thursday, April 26, when they compete at the Mountain West Championships, which will take place at Aztec Tennis Center. Pairings for the tournament will be announced at a later date.
