SAN DIEGO - San Diego State track and field sophomore Allison Reaser was among seven collegiate athletes selected as Stars of the Month for May by the San Diego Hall of Champions.

Reaser was among five track and field athletes honored by the Hall of Champions. The El Segundo, Calif., native won the High Point Award at the Mountain West championships by capturing the heptathlon. She is seeded 11th in the event heading into this weekend's NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Reaser already has an U.S. Olympic "B" standard mark in the heptathlon and will look to participate in the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore., later this month.

Former SDSU men's basketball player and current San Antonio Spur Kawhi Leonard was also honored by the SDHOC. The Riverside, Calif., native saw action in 64 of the 66 games during his rookie campaign for the Spurs, starting on 39 occasions. The 6-foot-7 forward finished the 2011-12 season averaging 7.9 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, while shooting 49.3 percent from the floor. Leonard led the top-seeded Spurs with 85 steals and averaged 24.0 minutes a game. In the playoffs, he has started all 13 of San Antonio's games and is averaging 8.9 points and is shooting 51.8 percent from the field, including a mark of 45.9 percent from three-point range.

The San Diego Hall of Champions is an undisputed national leader in recognition of amateur, collegiate and professional sports excellence; youth sports-based education; and sports memorabilia exhibition. The Hall was launched by the Breitbard Athletic Foundation, which was founded in 1946 to recognize significant athletic achievement in San Diego. Through its vigilant focus on the community of San Diego and its betterment, SDHOC has developed an outstanding sports museum that enhances the quality of life for San Diegans through sports.
