Volleyball Announces Early Recruit Signing

San Diego - San Diego State women's volleyball coach Mark Warner today announced the signing of Katherine Moriarity of Idaho Falls, Idaho, to a national letter of intent. Moriarity is the first volleyball recruit to sign during the early signing period for a n Aztec team that loses three senior starters at the end of the current season.
The six-foot Moriarity plays both outside hitter and middle blocker for her Skyline High School squad. As a junior, she earned first team all-conference and all-area honors as well as second-team all-state accolades. She hold her school's records for most kills in a season and career, plus the mark for service aces in a game.
A member of the East Idaho Juniors club team, she also played for the USA Intermountain Region High Performance Team the past two seasons. During that time, she competed against various European national teams during a two-week summer tour of Europe.
In addition to her performance on the volleyball court, Moriarity is an all-conference academic award winner and member of the National Honor Society.
