No. 19 Water Polo to Play Host to Aztec Invitational

SAN DIEGO - No. 19 San Diego State will play host to the Aztec Invitational this weekend at Aztec Aquaplex. The tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday, and feature eight teams, including five nationally ranked squads. Admission is free.
Competing this weekend are No. 8 Princeton, No. 10 San José State, No. 13 UC San Diego, No. T-20 Wagner, Bucknell, Cal Lutheran and Harvard. Each day will feature eight games starting at 8 a.m. PT. The last game of the day is set to start at 4:45 p.m. PT.
The Aztecs fell three spots in the Collegiate Water Polo Association top-20 poll despite posting 3-1 record last week at the Harvard Invitational. SDSU opened with victories over Marist, the Crimson and Iona before dropping a two-goal decision to Michigan.
San Diego State comes into the tournament with an 11-7 record and will face Wagner at 10:30 a.m. PT on Saturday before returning to the pool to face Harvard at 4:45 p.m. PT. Then on Sunday, the Aztecs will see Bucknell (10:30 a.m.) and Princeton (4:45 p.m.).
Following a week at home, SDSU will head to Orange, Calif., to play in the Chapman Mini Invitational where it will play Cal State East Bay (10 a.m.), Connecticut College (2:30 p.m.) and Chapman (7 p.m.).
